Anglo-Saxon house with a shingle roof.

Sometimes wooden shingles were used instead of reeds.  This was dependant on what natural resources were avaiable.  Shingle was cheaper than thatch.

This represents a typical medium sized Anglo-Saxon dwelling.  These were usually one large room where food was cooked, meals were eaten and the inhabitants slept.

Length 36mm, width 29mm, height 23mm.

Supplied unpainted.
