How to decipher 2D6 figure strip codes:

Each strip contains a tag on which is written 2D6.  On the otherside of the tag is a code which identifies what the strip is.

The first part will be either the country or era.  Followed by more alpha numerics which give a greater description.


WORLD WAR 2

WW2 are simply given a nationality followed by a number.  All of the numbers are the same for that troop type accross the ww2 range.

Nations:

  • G - Germany
  • R - Russia
  • B - British Empire and the Commonwealth

Troops:

  • 01 - 09 Command and control
  • 10 - 19 Rifles
  • 20 - 29 Submachineguns
  • 30 - 39 Machineguns
  • 40 - 49 Mortars
  • 50 - 59 Anti-tank weapons (man portable)
  • 60 - 69 Anti-tank crews
  • 70 - 79 Gun crews
  • 80 - 89 Vehicle riders
  • 90 - 99 Flamethrowers
  • 100 - 109 Irregular troops
  • 110+  Special forces

 

    DARK AGES

    The dark ages codes are simpler as there are less troop types.

    Nationality:

    • AS - Anglo-Saxon
    • V - Viking
    • N - Norman

     Troops:

    • A - Archer
    • B - Beserker
    • H - Huscarl
    • J - Jarl
    • L- Leader
    • L1 -Line 1 or light line infantry
    • L2 - Line 2 or medium line infantry
    • L3 - Line 3 or heavy line infantry
    • Ld - Ladder
    • R - King
    • Rm - Ram
    • S - Standed bearer

     

    FEUDAL JAPAN

    All strips in this period are simply marked FJ for Feudal Japan.

    Troops:

    • A - Archer
    • C - Captains
    • G - Gunner
    • L - Line Infantry
    • M - Mounted
    • Mm - Mounted messenger
    • Mu - Musicians
    • Re - Retainers
    • S - Standed bearer
    • K - Cannon

    If there is a a following number it signifies:

    • 1 - Ashigaru
    • 2 - Samurai
    • 3 - Warrior Monk
